One of the most popular and classic Metroidvania platformer, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night gets silently released by Konami on Android and IOS.
First appearing on the PS1, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was one of the greatest games ever made. The timeless classic was so influential that it was the reason, along with Super Metroid, the genre ‘Metroidvania’ came into existence, and when developers decide to bring that game to a new platform, it’s an honor for both the fans receiving the game and the platform which was given a chance to revive the game.
The game was initially launched on the Playstation 1 in March 1997, and since then it has been released on many platforms including a release on the Sega Saturn in 1998, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles in October 2007 on the PSP and an Xbox 360 version in March 2007.
Moreover, a Playstation 4 version was released in October 2018 called Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night Rondo of Blood.
Now you can experience the classic gem on your portable mobile device, and the best part is that it will not empty your wallet either.
You’ll be able to enjoy Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for only $2.99 which makes it worth it even if you have played the game several times before. There are a few changes than the original as there is a new ‘continue’ feature and several achievements have also been added.
Also, there is support for six different languages which include English, Japanese, French, German, and so on.
If you don’t like using the touchscreen’s virtual d-pad and buttons to play the classic platformer, then you don’t need to worry! Konami has added controller support to this game which makes it available to more fans not in the habit of using a touchscreen for gaming.
The story revolves around Alucard, the son of Dracula, who has the intention of killing his father. The gameplay takes you through a large castle, acquiring weapons and abilities along the way which will help in killing several enemies along the way. The environment is non-linear, but some places can only be accessed by progressing further in the game. There is also a solid level up and experience system, being an RPG.
