Is it better to buy PC games from Steam or the Epic Games store?

When it comes to PC gaming, buying new games digitally for your PC is not hard at all.

There are various ways you can buy and install PC games digitally on your gaming PC. You can straightly buy games from their own websites; for example, you can just buy GTA V from the rockstar games website, but there are barely any sales on it, and there are a lot of chances for download and payment errors.

This is why people consider buying digital games from official PC games stores such as steam and the epic games store. They are both very popular marketplaces for buying digital PC games, and they are trusted, well known, and reliable sources.

There are barely any errors, a lot of sales, and a large selection of games that you can easily buy from one single marketplace.

What are Steam and Epic games store?

Almost Everyone knows about Steam and Epic games store, but if you still don’t know, I will explain to you. Steam is a video game digital distribution service by Valve.

It was launched as a standalone software client in September 2003 as a way for Valve to provide automatic updates for their games and expanded to include games from third-party publishers.

Steam offers digital rights management (DRM), server hosting, video streaming, and social networking services. It also provides the user with installation and automatic updating of games and community features such as friends lists and groups, cloud storage, and in-game voice and chat functionality.

On the other hand, Epic Games Store is a digital video game storefront for Microsoft Windows and macOS, operated by Epic Games.

It launched in December 2018 as a website and a standalone launcher, the latter which is required to download and play games. The storefront provides an essential catalog, friends list management, matchmaking, and other features.

Which is better?

When it comes to the question of which is better?,

Steam or Epic Games Store, I would say that both have Pros and Cons that make them better and worse than each other at the same time and both are pretty popular and successful.

We all love to buy games digitally, and both help us by providing us with digital PC games at low prices. I prefer the Epic games store more than steam as it has a lot of my favorite games which are not available on steam, it has an outstanding customer service and a lot of free games giveaways.

I still love steam, but I like the Epic games store better.
