Step 1: You’ve forgotten your password

  • First of all, go to www.youtube.com. At the right corner of top, you’ll find a sign-in option.

  • Go to www.youtube.com
  • Select sign-in in the top right corner.
  • Select ‘Forgot Email’.

  • You’ll be shown the email address associated with your youtube account. You’re ready to sign in now.

Step 3: You’ve forgotten both username and password

  • You can simply follow the solution for the previous case (case 2) to recover your username.
  • After getting your username, just click the ‘reset my password button’. You’ll be sent an email for resetting your password.

Step 4: Having cookies turned off

  • If you’ve recovered your username and password, still unable to log in. then it can probably be an issue regarding cookies. You might not have cookies turned on in your browser preferences.  
  • For chrome, at the top-right corner of the screen, click the three vertical dots icon.
  • Choose Settings > Under Security and Privacy > click Site settings.

Step 5: You permanently deleted your account

  • Incase you permanently deleted your google account, you can contact youtube to resolve your issue and to retrieve your account.
  • Go to the support page of youtube.
  • Select the text “restore it within a short period of time”.
  • By selecting the text, it will redirect you to a new page.
  • Scroll down and click on “Learn How to recover your account”.
  • Tap on “follow these steps to recover your account”.
  • You’ll be asked several questions to confirm your identity while logging into your google account.
  • It may take some time or can be recovered immediately.
  • There is no proper information about how long it will take to recover the account after deleting it permanently. But the faster you act, the better result you’ll get.
