Ubisoft unveiled the free-to-play game, Roller Champions at E3 2019, and now Ubisoft has finally announced what platforms will be receiving the game when it launches.
Roller Champions will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and PC, which was previously announced.
If you are a PC user, though, then you are in luck as Ubisoft has revealed that PC users will get a closed alpha test for the game, which will be available via Uplay. It will only last from March 11 to March 23, so hurry up and sign up for the alpha and provide feedback to the devs. To sign up head to the official site of the game.
As the space is limited, if you are not selected in the alpha, then you will be automatically added to the Roller Champions closed beta, which will take place towards the end of the following year.
Ubisoft has also dropped a gameplay trailer to show what this game has to offer. The trailer, however, is a bit void of raw gameplay but it does show what the game is all about. The competition gives Rocket League vibes all over.
Moreover, the closed alpha will help Ubisoft to get feedback by the players through a discord channel, which will be set up by Ubisoft.
The best part is you will not only get to have full access to the game for complete 5 days but also phase-exclusive in-game outfit which will enable them to show off their status. However, it must be kept in mind that any progress you make in the alpha will be reset when the game fully launches.
The release date has not yet been announced for Roller Champions, but the wait will not be that painful, as March is full of exciting releases.
What can you expect from the Game?
Ubisoft explains that Roller Champions will be a new face-paced versus game, which will be played in teams that will be on wheels. A team will be of three players who will go against each other in arenas in different places around the world. There will be crowds of people cheering and roaring as the team players cooperate, dodging, passing, and tackling opponents. Goals will be scored in an illuminated loop, which will be above the rink.
Players will be able to create a character and have a list of 70 items to customize the role, which will include everything from gloves, clothes to helmet/hairstyles. There will be a total of three arenas, which will consist of a new arena, Chichen Itza, which, according to Ubisoft, will be the most impressive yet.
Also, there will be further moves that will have extended tackle and the air tackle as well as new team moves, which will include the double grapple jump, grapple boost, and grapple double pump.
